Why is WD continue to leave these important features out? I decided to return this item. I like to watch concert dvd and my kids like to watch different episodes of cartoon. I can’t select my chapter. Come on where is IFO for MENU SUPPORT. Forget about Subtitle or Audio for different languages. Other than that PQ is worser than WDTV 1, any way, I may just bite the bullet and buy POPCORN HOUR or PlayON HD.

Read about all the problems everyone is having with file sharing and streaming, myself included. Don’t buy until these issues get resolved.

I am a Netflix customer and bought this product thinking that i would be able to browse the internet and view any content, including Netflix, on my HD tv. No such luck. Not sure why this doesn’t support that capability. I have to return the product.

I don’t see the point of this unit. You will have to be prepared to spend another 150 dollars upgrading your wireless system to 802.11 N that is ‘Western Digital’ approved if you don’t already have it. Asus has the adapter already built in for less money and is backwards compatible with most b/g wireless routers. You may as well just buy a laptop with a decent video card and connect it to your computer, you will have a much more powerful and flexible set up.

What does this unit do to improve your life? NOTHING! If it could connect to [...] and the TV networks [...] for streaming movies and TV it might be worth something but it does not.

This little device works great, but I am very disappointed that it is limited strictly to outputting HDMI signals. The unit’s small size would make it great to use with that older TV set, but there is no possible way to connect it.

Those of you who want the option to use with an older or smaller TV set will be very disappointed with this device’s lack of any analog output.

Since this device is strictly HDMI and will only work with new HDTV sets, I would personally recommend upgrading to a networked Blu-Ray player.
