Installation was rather easy – mounted CPU and memory on MB before putting it in the case, first time I do it like this.
Posted at 2nd try – had forgotten to plug in the CPU power header in the first try. So you could say that it posted right away (with Athlon II X2 250).
Has all the features needed for an everyday PC user, and much more – this one is for my sister in law, who uses it mainly to surf the web, email, messenger, etc. plus some office work.
On-chip video and audio work just fine. Same for LAN.
Also liked the hardware monitor (temp for both CPU cores and system; and rpm’s for the fans mentioned below, if I remember well). CPUID picked up the signals with no problem.
No need for a 24 pin ATX power supply, you can use your 20 pin (I don’t know if this is normally the case). I am using a 350 W / 20 pin power supply (the manual says you should use 500 W), which works just fine, but there are no PCI’s and no video card added – only one sata hdd and a CD burner.
South bridge works quite hot to touch, northbridge warms up too but not as much.
Header for power and reset swuitches, and hdd and power led’s are color coded, which makes them easier to locate. There are 6 USB connectors for the front pannel, just next to them, as well as speaker connector, as close to the front pannel as can be.
Only has 3 fan connectors (CPU, northbridge and system) – nothing is perfect.
Very smooth installation.
Price was great, bought CPU, MB and mem. (2×1 G, OCZ Reaper 1066) for about 210 $ or less.
